A conservatory, orangery or Garden Room can add space and enhance the appearance of your home.
A conservatory isn’t just a space for summer, it can be a multi-purpose room which enhances the look and value of your house.
Extending your house can be an expensive hassle, and the conservatory options available to you are perfect for giving you that much needed additional family space.
Conservatories are fast becoming the most popular way to extend and improve a home – they are adaptable spaces which are beautiful and long lasting. So many elements of your new space can be customised, and the first choice you have is the style of your new home addition:
“Excellent service throughout from initial quote to installation.”
In essence a conservatory is a very simple addition to your home; small amounts of brick work, frames and glass create the walls, and it traditionally has a glass roof. You have the choice between Victorian (angular), Edwardian (square), Gable or P Shaped styles, and you can chose what size dwarf walls you want. You can have patio doors, French doors, or bi-folding doors, leading out from your property, and you have a wide choice of colours for your conservatory frames. At Ripton Windows we project manage your conservatory from start to finish, enabling you to sit back and relax.
Orangeries differ from conservatories in that they traditionally involve more bricks – orangeries feature large windows set into brick work. The main difference between a conservatory and an orangery is that an orangery features a flat roof with a glazed lantern set into it, giving you natural light through the lantern roof, as well as the large side windows. It usually involves LED down lights in the ceiling next to the lantern roof, although you have a number of options for lighting and electrics because of the flat roof and brickwork columns which make up an orangery.
Garden Rooms give the best compromise between the light, airy feel of a conservatory and the traditional appearance and energy efficiency of a traditional extension. Garden Rooms take days to install, rather than the weeks and months involved with building an extension. Every element of your Garden Room is bespoke – you can choose what colour roof tiles you want, and have the option to include a velux roof lights for additional ventilation.
Choosing between all of the options can sometimes be difficult.
