Our beginnings – building our doors, conservatories, triple & double Hampshire based business since 1996
At heart we are a family business, providing double glazing in the Basingstoke, Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey area.
In 1996 Ray Ripton and close friend Mike Leal joined together to create Ripton Windows. With a substantial background in the glass industry, having served as a Divisional Managing Director and Board Member at Pilkington Glass, Ray found that early retirement didn’t suit him, and so decided to create the company as his next big challenge.
Since then, we’ve grown and developed into one of the most respected names in Basingstoke, with over twenty-five thousand happy customers in Basingstoke and the surrounding area. Ripton Windows is now a name which is synonymous with quality windows and products as well as customer care, a reputation which we are extremely proud of.
ONE OF THE MOST RESPECTED NAMES IN BASINGSTOKE AND HAMPSHIRE.
Since then we have become a real family affair, with Stuart and Matthew Ripton both joining the team soon after the business began. Since Ray and Mike have both retired they now head up the business. They are the friendly faces you are most likely to see on your initial appointments and consultations. While there are now several staff members who are part of the Ripton family, we like to think of the whole team as an extension of the family, particularly as the majority of them have been with us for a considerable number of years.
Matthew Ripton: Matthew is one of the owners and directors of Ripton Windows, with numerous years sales experience. If he comes to quote for you, you know that you’ll have a pressure free experience, with someone committed to giving you a fair deal, with a real passion for the industry.
Stuart Ripton: Stuart is also one of the owners and directors of the company, and he is the other face you are likely to see when we initially visit you to talk about what is best for your home. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, you are in safe hands when talking to Stuart.
Iain Golding: Iain helps design your conservatories, windows, and doors, drawing plans and liaising with you, as well as the surveyors and other staff to make your dream products a reality. He has an extensive knowledge of our products, including design elements, planning and building regulations, and technical specifications.
Scott Ripton: Scott runs our fitting teams, as well as our service department, and he is the person who you are likely to speak to during the installation of your windows and any after sales service, providing our commitment to fantastic aftercare.
Rhian James: Following years working in an accounting practice, Rhian joined the Ripton Windows team in 2001. Rhian is in charge of our accounts department, managing all of the financial aspects of the business.
Rebecca James: Rebecca is our youngest member of staff. Having worked for us during her summer breaks from college and university for a number of years, she has recently joined the team permanently, managing our social media channels and marketing.
Our surveyors are qualified to the highest level possible, are MTC registered, and have many years’ experience measuring windows, doors, and conservatories. This means you know the measurements they take will be accurate and consistent.
They are a dedicated team of staff who are happy to answer any questions you might have, and between them have an enviable knowledge of all the home improvement products that we have on offer. They work with our fitting teams to make sure that you have the best experience possible, and that all of our installations are carried out professionally and proficiently.
As with any small company, we have spent the last twenty years developing, and outgrew our original premises in 2005. We moved to our current location on Crockford Lane, Basingstoke, and now have offices above our 7,500 square foot showroom, which is one of the largest in the area. In it, we showcase a range of windows and doors, but we think that the real highlight is the range of Conservatories, Garden rooms, and Orangeries that we have constructed in the showroom village. All of them are fully furnished, which means that you can truly get a feel for what they would be like as an addition to your home.
Our showroom is open 9:00 – 5:00 Monday – Thursday, 9:00 – 4.30 on a Friday, and our staff also come in on Saturdays 10:00 – 4:00 to make sure that you have every opportunity possible to experience our products.
If you can’t make it in during our opening hours, you can also take a tour of our showroom with our Google Business view.
