✓ Period Characteristics
✓ Energy Saving
✓ Classic Appearance
Beautiful period characteristics often draw us to properties in conservation areas, but they can come with a cost, namely draughty, single glazed windows. With our Residence 9 system you can have thermally efficient, double or triple glazed windows, resulting in energy savings.
Part of the beauty of the Residence 9 system is how dedicated the manufacturer is to creating a window truly reminiscent of the beautiful 19th Century timber windows found in a lot of classic English villages. As most modern hinges are hidden, you can specify that you want visible butt hinges (working or dummy) which recreate the authentic window design, adding character to your home. Similarly handles are easy to customise – you can have Monkeytail or Peardrop handles if you want the interior of your house to match the character of the outside, or if your rooms have a more contemporary look you can specify modern chrome, brass, or pewter finishes. The Residence 9 craftsmen also hand apply sections if you want windows with External Georgian bar, to create the traditional Georgian Latticework of Period Townhouses, so you can be sure the appearance is consistent with the beautiful period features of your home.
Most importantly, your colour options are beautiful and classic, and they don’t need to be painted. The white woodgrain colour looks gorgeous with any house, or if you are looking for a more subtle colour, Clotted Cream is a fantastic alternative. If your house is rendered on the outside the Cotswold Green or Irish Oak colours would complement it elegantly, or if you have flint detailing on your house the Silvered Oak colour would really enhance the overall appearance. Our Cotswold Biscuit and Painswick colours enrich the appearance of period country cottages, and if you want a complementary colour on the outside of your house but a blank canvas inside, Residence 9 windows can be dual finished. You can have a variety of outside colours, and Grained White, English Oak or Cotswold Biscuit on the inside.
Residence 9 windows are individual, stunning looking windows which can enhance the appearance of any house, whether it is a conservation period property, or a modern house looking for a classic twist.
